ODAM has reached out to poor families by opening a school to re-integrate child labourers into the educational system. In many cases, poverty in rural communities has degraded the value of education for girls. Desperate families often force daughters to solve the problem, subjecting them to hard labour in order to earn supplemental income. The KGBV Narikudi School and Barathi Girls Hostel provide girls with an opportunity for education and fun in a safe and healthy environment. In collaboration with local NGOs, villages, volunteers, and well-wishers, ODAM is training a new generation of Indian women who act and reform.
